As students gear up for the upcoming SAT, the pressure is on to perform well and secure a spot in their dream colleges. The SAT, a standardized test used for college admissions, assesses students’ reading, writing, and math skills, making it a crucial milestone in the academic journey.
With the next test date fast approaching, preparation is key. From practice tests to study guides, students are diving into strategies to boost their scores. I asked Anthony Gordan, a junior Scholar at ASE how he feels about the upcoming sat. He said that “I think that we are unprepared. We haven’t been doing a lot of prep inside the school.” I asked another scholar Malique Adams, a junior at ASE his opinion on this matter. He exclaimed “I feel very confident these days, I have nothing to worry about.” These scholars both have a very different perspective on the exams coming up but not to worry as some of our administrators have a piece of advice for them.
I sat down and asked Ms Arlene Whiteman, the school administrator at ASE her take on the SAT exams, and what type of advice she would give the students. She said “Get a specific type of breakfast, a Kite hill yoga Greek style, unsweet 15 grams of protein will carry you along way. I think that they will all do well if they prepare themselves doing what they need to do in their Ela and Math, and if they have mastered those skills they will do well and hopefully they paid attention to what they learned, and when they are well prepared they will do well.
Overall, preparation is key! knowing what areas to study, your weakest points & strongest points, & studying long enough to dissect the information you’re receiving will take you a long way–not just through the SAT’s, but many other aspects of your life.
