In a rare & exciting departure from their usual routine of “circle maintenance” & playing “mafia” all day, the PGC team swapped lesson plans & rose & thorns for a fun-fest at Dave & Buster’s on a beautiful Thursday (2/27/2025) . The outing was a well-deserved break, filled with friendly competition & team bonding, as the group enjoyed an afternoon of arcade games, delicious food & some lighthearted fun.

The event, organized by PGC, aimed to boost morale & celebrate the hard work the group has been putting in. “This trip gave the PGC class a chance to reconnect & celebrate our dedication & commitment to the program. I am very proud of this year’s PGC class & the amazing work they have done since September”, said PGC Advisor Mr.Balkaran.
From competitive rounds of air hockey to high–energy video games, the PGC crew made the most of their time. Some participated in group challenges, while others challenged each other in classic favorites like basketball hoops & the popular “Mario Kart” racing game.
PGC leader Malique Adams, a self-proclaimed air-hockey expert, expresses his sadness for losing BADLY to the queen Omya Foreman. “Although I didn’t expect to lose, I at least had fun with a group of people I’m able to share a beautiful bond with–also I will get Omya back.” In addition, PGC leader Davado Campbell–another victim of Omya’s wrath exclaimed “I only lost because my arm hurt & Aiden was distracting me, but overall it was a very fun experience.”
Along with arcade games, attendees were treated to an all-you-can-eat-buffet offering mouth watering delicacies such as flatbread, pigs in a blanket, tenders, pretzel bites & more.
While the PGC leaders had to head back to more “circle maintenance” & lesson planning, there was no doubt that the experience brought everyone closer together. “It’s not just about the games.”, said Scott Donaldson “It’s about building relationships & creating memories, all we need sometimes is a little push to unify everybody.”
